MI) Every year, and at the North American
International Auto Show, the North American Car, Utility and Truck of the Year
Awards are revealed. Incidentally, the
North American International Auto Show, is also referred to as, the Detroit
Auto Show. Obviously, the City of
Detroit, Michigan U.S.A., is the home of the North American International Auto
Show. Since the year 1994, the North
American Car, Utility and Truck of the Year Awards (N.A.C.T.O.Y.) have honored
the following. What it has honored is
excellence in innovation, design, safety, performance, technology, driver
satisfaction and value. Recently, Kia
Motors America announced that, the North American Car, Utility and Truck of the
Year Awards are highly coveted.
Specifically, the aforementioned business revealed that, the 2020 Kia
Telluride has been recognized with an award.
The received award is the 2020 North American Utility Vehicle of the
Year Award. The Telluride is Kia’s large
S.U.V. with three rows of seats.
As a large S.U.V. with three rows of
seats, the Kia Telluride, is receiving for the first time the North American
Utility Vehicle of the Year Award. The
panel of jurors selected the Telluride in the utility category; over 12 semi
finalists, and, 3 finalists.
Interestingly, this award is one of several others, which the 2020 Kia
Telluride has received up to this date.
However and returning to, the North American Car, Utility and Truck of
the Year Awards, the aforementioned uses a panel of jurors. The panel is made up of approximately 50
jurors, who decide the award winners.
The jurors, for the most part; are automotive journalists from the United
States of America, and, the Country of
Canada. Normally, these automotive
journalists still work their normal jobs at independent magazines, television
stations, radio stations, newspapers and automotive industry related websites. In the year 2016, the North American Car,
Utility and Truck of the Year Awards became a 501 6-C corporation. Therefore and since the year 2016, the North
American Car and Truck of the Year Corporation, has existed. Additionally, the board of directors is
governed by the president, the vice president and the secretary/treasurer.
Returning to, Kia Motors America,
the aforementioned has its headquarters office in the Country of South
Korea. Interestingly, in South
Korea the legal business name is, the Kia
Motors Corporation. Additionally, Kia is
considered to be South Korea’s
second largest automobile manufacturer.
Furthermore, it is also considered to be South
Korea’s oldest automobile manufacturer. This special distinction is based on the fact
that, the Kia Motors Corporation, was founded in the year 1944. In the year 2015, the Kia Motors Corporation
reported more than 3.3 million sold automobiles. Currently; it is reported that, it
manufacturers 1.5 million automobiles every year, across 13 manufacturing and
assembly facilities in 8 countries.
Continuing with, the Telluride, the
aforementioned large S.U.V. is a best seller.
In fact, it is one of Kia Motors America’s best selling
automobiles. Since first being released,
almost 60,000 Tellurides have been sold in the U.S.A. Additionally, it is frequently said that,
when it comes to the Kia Telluride demand outpaces supply. Sometimes it can be argued that, the Kia
Telluride is quintessentially U.S.A. For this argument; the Telluride is
conceived, designed, developed and assembled in the U.S.A. For international sales, the Kia Telluride is
exported from the U.S.A. All of this work, is done at Kia’s facility
in West Point, Georgia U.S.A. The North American Car and Truck of the Year
Corporation did release a press statement.
Kirk Bell is the Secretary/Treasurer of the North American Car and Truck
of the Year Corporation. Through a press

As previously stated, Kia Motors America recently announced that, the
