            To end, the brief synopsis is as follows.  This story is the movie adaptation of, Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette’s life.  Before her marriage, she lived in rural France.  When she gets married, she moves to Paris.  The move to Paris, becomes a difficult transplantation.  Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette married a successful Parisian writer, who is known as, Willy.  One day, Willy successfully convinces Sidonie-Gabrielle to ghost write a novel for him.  The novel becomes a success, and, more novels follow.  Regrettably, Willy becomes a very controlling person.  At the same time, Sidonie-Gabrielle wishes to have intellectual property ownership of her novels.  Through her struggle; to become the owner of her novels, Sidonie-Gabrielle crashes into the barriers social constraints, and, strict gender roles.  However; she continues to fight, and, she moves forward.  Ultimately Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette overcomes societal constraints, revolutionizes literature, changes fashion and she changes sexual expression.
