Fox Networks Group Renews Agreement with AT&T


(El Segundo, CA) AT&T, Inc. through AT&T Communications, owns a very coveted distribution platform.  For any media company, the AT&T distribution platform is vital for revenue success.  Fox Networks Group, as it appears, will continue to have revenue success.  The previously mentioned business, has renewed a multiple year agreement with, AT&T Communications.  As a result, television programming from Fox will continue to be distributed across the AT&T distribution platform. 

            As previously said, AT&T Communications is part of AT&T, Inc. (NYSE:  T).  The AT&T distribution platform is comprised of DirecTV, DirecTV Now and AT&T U-verse.  For the renewed multiple year agreement, the following is included.  Additionally; television programming, for the following cable television channels, will continue to be distributed across the AT&T distribution platform.  First; the renewal is for Fox owned local broadcast television stations in 17 cities, and, 22 Fox owned regional sports networks.  The renewed agreement includes the cable television channels FS1, FS2, FX, FXX, FXM, the National Geographic Channel, Nat Geo Wild, Baby TV, Fox Deportes, Nat Geo Mundo, Fox Life and Fox Soccer Plus.  The immediate latter, is a pay per view service.  Daniel York is the Chief Content Officer and Senior Executive Vice President at AT&T Communications.  Through a press statement, Mr. York said the following.  “We are pleased to have closed a multi-year deal with Fox for their entire array of content.  Our customers will continue to enjoy their programming live and on-demand on all their devices, both at home and on-the-go.”  Daniel York also said, “Fox has worked with us in this deal to deliver more choice for consumers and better value to AT&T customers.”  Lastly, the Fox Networks Group (FNG) is a media content production unit of 21st Century Fox (NASDAQ:  FOX.A).  Fox Networks Group is primarily comprised of the Fox Television Group, the Fox Broadcasting Company, 20th Century Fox Television, Fox Sports Media Group, Fox Cable Networks, FX Networks, National Geographic Partners, Fox Networks Group Europe and Fox Networks Group Latin America.

            To end, Fox Networks Group did release a press statement.  Mike Biard is the President of  Distribution at the Fox Networks Group.  Through a press statement, Mr. Biard said the following.  We’re pleased to expand our partnership with AT&T through this wide-ranging agreement which ensures that our top-rated entertainment and sports programming will remain broadly available to DirecTV, DIRECTNOW and U-Verse customers for the foreseeable future.”  As previously stated, Fox Networks Group has renewed a multiple year agreement with AT&T Communications.  As a result, television content and programming from Fox will continue to be distributed across the AT&T distribution platform.  It also appears as if, Fox has secured revenue success for several more years to come.
