The Oracle Challenger Series Adds Two Tournaments in California for 2019


(Indian Wells, CA) Professional tennis players, often have, great difficulty winning prize money and earning rank points.  The latter, is the reason the Oracle Challenger Series exists.  Furthermore; for the year 2019, the Oracle Challenger Series is adding two tournaments in the State of California, U.S.A.  The California locations will be Newport Beach, and, Indian Wells.  Both tournaments are formatted to be a combination of the ATP Challenger Tour, and, the WTA 125K Series.

            Envisioned by the Oracle Corporation (NYSE:  ORCL); the Oracle Challenger Series was created with the idea, of increasing opportunity for American tennis players, in mind.  It is intended for men and women, tennis players of the collegiate and professional levels.  In fact, each event in the series is a tournament.  Furthermore, there is always one winner for the men, and, one winner for the women.  The winners win prize money and rank points.  All tournaments in the series combine the ATP Challenger Tour, and, the WTA 125K Series.  The culmination of the Oracle Challenger Series; is the top two men and women, earning wild card berths for the, BNP Paribas Open.

            Specifically, the Oracle Challenger Series awards $150,000 USD to the man who wins the tournament event.  The woman, who wins the tournament event, receives the same amount of money.  All of the tournament events are free and open to the public.  Visit the website, Oraclechallengerseries.com, for more information.  As previously said; the two tournament events in California are located in Newport Beach, and, Indian Wells.  For Newport Beach, the location is the Newport Beach Tennis Club.  Additionally, the tournament dates are January 21st to the 27th, 2019.  For Indian Wells, the location is the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.  Additionally, the tournament dates are February 25th to March 3rd, 2019. 

            To end, the Oracle Corporation did release a press statement.  Mark Hurd is the C.E.O. of the Oracle Corporation.  Through a press statement, Mr. Hurd said the following.  “We’ve received overwhelmingly positive feedback from players and fans, and Oracle is committed to the Series in 2019.  Newport Beach and Indian Wells are terrific venues for winter tennis.  We’d love to see a big turnout from fans.”  Mark Hurd also said.  “Oracle launched the Challenger Series to help more tennis players compete at a high level here in the United States.”  As previously stated, the Oracle Challenger Series has added two California locations, for the year 2019.  The two California locations will be Newport Beach, and, Indian Wells.  Both tournaments are formatted to be a combination of the ATP Challenger Tour, and, the WTA 125K Series.
