Choice Hotels International, Inc. Begins Construction on the Cambria Hotel Los Angeles


(Rockville, MD) Downtown Los Angeles, or the Financial District, has always attracted people who are interested in the urban lifestyle.  In fact; some would argue that the attraction continues to be strong, or, stronger than it has ever been.  Recently, Choice Hotels International, Inc. revealed that, construction has begun on the Cambria Hotel Los Angeles.  To be specific, the construction project is a renovation project.  The location of the previously said, is none other than, Downtown Los Angeles, California U.S.A.  This hotel is expected to begin business operations, in the year 2020.  Additionally, the building is a Historic Core District Building that, was built in the year 1927.

          In the year 1927, the building of the future Cambria Hotel Los Angeles, began to be used as the official building of the Los Angeles Police Department Vice Squad.  Additionally; it is 13 stories, and, 180 hotel guestrooms will be configured from the original space.  The location or address is, 419 S. Spring Street.  The previous, positions this new Choice Hotels International, Inc. (NYSE:  CHH) hotel well in the downtown area.  For example, the future Cambria Hotel Los Angeles is situated well along Gallery Row.  The previous, is a top arts attraction in the City of Los Angeles.  Additionally, this future hotel, is also, a walking distance to “Little Tokyo.”  Little Tokyo is home to boutique shops, along with, modern and trendy restaurants.  The following destinations are also located in the Downtown Los Angeles area, and, they are also accessible from the future Cambria Hotel Los Angeles.  The other destinations are Grand Central Market, Museum of Contemporary Art, The Staples Center, Dodger Stadium, L.A. Live, the Regent Theater DTLA, the Los Angeles Fashion District and the Los Angeles Theater.  Janis Cannon is the Senior Vice President of Upscale Brands at Choice Hotels International, Inc.  Through a press statement, Ms./Mrs. Cannon said the following.  “With the recent relocation of high-profile company headquarters like Spotify and Warner Music Group, as well as the increase in local attractions, Downtown Los Angeles has reinvented itself as a destination for business and leisure travelers.  We’re excited for this Cambria Hotel adaptive reuse project to be a part of the renaissance.”  Janis Cannon also said.  “Downtown Los Angeles has experienced major revitalization in the past decade, making Spring Street an ideal location to meet the renewed interest in the growing area.  Choice is committed to expanding the Cambria Hotels brand throughout L.A. and this hotel joins the already open Cambria Hotel LAX, with several other new construction hotels in development in Anaheim, Burbank, and Calabasas.” 

          The Cambria Hotel Los Angeles, is owned by PNK Group Investments.  PNK Group Investments was founded in the year 1982, and, it is based out of Hollywood California, U.S.A.  Additionally; this business is involved in the acquisition, construction, renovation and operations of hotels throughout the State of California and the State of Texas.  The Cambria line, or brand, is designed to keep the upscale modern traveler in mind.  Additionally, the design process is supposed to have the following things incorporated.  The location, spacious & comfortable hotel guestrooms, flexible meeting spaces, local freshly prepared food and craft beer are the things that were supposed to have been incorporated; into the design process.  The future hotel, Cambria Hotel Los Angeles, is being built to be able to have the following amenities.  The amenities are:  Spa style bathrooms in the hotel guestrooms; modern furniture in the hotel guestrooms; onsite dining; meeting space; a fitness center and finally a locally inspired design.  The spa style bathrooms are designed to be immersive with Bluetooth mirrors.  The modern furniture is going to be contemporary, sophisticated, with modern fixtures incorporated into the feel, with abundant lighting and with plush bedding.  The onsite dining amenity is made up of the following features; freshly made food, local craft beer on tap, wine, specialty cocktails and small bites.  The meeting space amenity is made up of nearly 8,000 ft².  For the latter; it is then made up of multi-function meeting space, a separate banquet room, a board room and wine rooms.  The fitness center of the future, Cambria Hotel Los Angeles, is going to be state of the art.
