Sony Electronics, Inc. Launches New Telephoto Lens



(San Diego, CA) The internet is a good example, of something that needs, good photographic content.  The photographic content, when used as part of an internet blog, can convey exclusive stories.  In the process, the aforementioned becomes excitingly fresh new content that, has the power to inspire.  Recently, Sony Electronics, Inc. revealed that, it has launched a new telephoto lens.  Perhaps, this new telephoto lens from Sony, can help fill the void of photographic content for the internet.  Irregardless of which, the new telephoto lens is part of the famed G Master Series of e-mount interchangeable lenses.  Officially, it is Sony’s SEL 135F18GM.  Unofficially, it is the FE 135mm F1.8 GM, and, it will be made available to purchase in April of the year, 2019.  The price is expected to be $1,900 USD. 

For the price of $1,900 USD, the consumer will receive a large aperture telephoto prime lens.  For the entire process professional portrait photographers, wedding photographers, sports photographers and image enthusiasts were kept in mind.  Furthermore and as previously said, Sony’s SEL 135F18GM, or FE 135mm F1.8 GM, is designed to meet the rigorous standards of the G Master Series.  As a result, it is able to produce high resolution images that, also have, superior bokeh qualities.  Bokeh is a reference to the aesthetic quality of the blur.  The blur is usually produced, or seen, in out of focus parts of an image.  This image is the result of the actual lens.  In other words, bokeh, is the way the lens renders out of focus points of light.  Specifically, the FE 135mm F1.8 GM is able to create an image acquisition process, through, rapid auto-focus (AF).   

Overall, Sony’s SEL 135F18GM is fully capable of producing high resolution images, for the entire frame.  For the aforementioned, the actual optical design of the lens includes the following glass elements; extreme aspherical (XA), and, super extra low dispersion (ED).  The latter and the former, were meticulously placed in the front part of the lens, so as to, create an image without aberrations.  Overall image clarity, compensation for axial chromatic aberration and the minimization of color fringing are also part; of the previously stated glass elements of Sony’s SEL 135F18GM.  Furthermore, at the end of the manufacturing process, Sony applies a proprietary Nano AR coating.  The Nano AR coating is credited with reducing flare, and, ghosting.  The aforementioned, usually occurs when taking backlit portraits.  In order to be able to capture, fast moving portraits or sports subjects, the Sony FE 135mm F1.8 GM comes with the following features.  First, this new telephoto lens is equipped with a total, of four Sony XD linear motors.  Two motors are assigned to each group of glass elements.  The end result; is an auto-focus tracking and performance that is rapid, reliable and fast.  Second, there is a control algorithm.  This control algorithm is able to maximize the control response.  A maximized control response, is able to, ensure quiet low vibration auto-focus.  Third, everything about the Sony FE 135 mm F1.8 GM is lightweight.  In fact, the compact body weighs 33.6 ounces.  Fourth and lastly, this new telephoto lens features aperture imaging controls.  This feature is perfectly suited for taking still photographs, or, shooting movies.
