The Hunger Games Experiential Exhibition Launches

(Las Vegas, NV and Santa Monica, CA) The MGM Grand Hotel & Casino is quintessentially a Las Vegas, Nevada U.S.A., experience.  It is said that, it is officially nicknamed, “The Entertainment Authority.”  The previously said, could be based on the fact that, it has 850,000 ft² of meeting space.  For this type of meeting space, there are various options of first-class entertainment.  For example; Cirque du Soleil, the dance crew Jabbawockeez, illusionist David Copperfield and comedian Brad Garrett all perform regularly scheduled shows or events at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino.  Recently, it was revealed that, the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino will be the home to an experiential exhibition.  This experiential exhibition is based on the series of movies, The Hunger Games.  Officially, it is named, The Hunger Games:  The Exhibition.  The District at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino; will be the official home, of the aforementioned experiential exhibition, when it opens in May of the year 2019.  Interestingly, The Hunger Games:  The Exhibition, is an updated version.

          As the updated version, The Hunger Games:  The Exhibition, will have new spectacular features.  A fully immersive archery training experience, set decorations, costumes from the movie and interactive experiences are the newly added spectacular features.  A previous, or older, version of this experiential exhibition has already gone on tour.  The tour included stops in New York City, San Francisco, Louisville and Sydney Australia.  For the updated version, an entrance ticket is required.  Additionally, entrance tickets can be purchased at the box office inside the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino.  The Hunger Games:  The Exhibition, technically is a collaborative effort.  The collaboration is between; Cityneon Holdings, Ltd., and its subsidiary Victory Hill Exhibitions, with the Lions Gate Entertainment Corporation, or, Lionsgate.  Incidentally, the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, is owned by, MGM Resorts International (NYSE:  MGM).  Cityneon Holdings, Ltd. is headquartered out of the Country of Singapore.  Additionally, this experiential exhibition is its second, in the City of Las Vegas, Nevada U.S.A.  Welby Altidor is the Group Chief Creative Officer at Cityneon Holdings, Ltd. and Victory Hill Exhibitions.  Through a press statement, Mr. Altidor said the following.  “Cityneon and Victory Hill Exhibitions are thrilled to be working with Lionsgate to expand our portfolio of experiences in Las Vegas.  Our partnership to present The Hunger Games: The Exhibition allows international visitors and the local community another opportunity to experience the immersive exhibits we are known for worldwide, and we look forward to revealing additional projects we plan to bring to the Las Vegas Strip in the near future.” 

          The Hunger Games, series of movies, is made up of the following feature films; The Hunger Games (2012), The Hunger Games:  Catching Fire (2013), The Hunger Games:  Mockingjay-Part 1 (2014) and The Hunger Games:  Mockingjay-Part 2 (2015).  Additionally, this series of movies is based on a series of books.  The author of the series of books is, Suzanne Collins.  At the worldwide box office, the aforementioned series of movies, is credited with more than $3 billion USD in sales.  The Hunger Games:  The Exhibition explores the world of Panem.  The exploration is through galleries such as the Hall of Justice, President Snow’s Office, the Tribute Train and District 13.  This experiential exhibition is highlighted by almost 30 iconic costumes, genuine props and set recreations.  The iconic costumes will be inside the costume gallery.  The costume gallery will showcase the Girl on Fire dress, the Mockingjay gown, Katniss’s Mockingjay armor & pin, the Peacekeeper armor, the Rebel’s tactical gear and Katniss’s bow & arrows.
