(Los Angeles, CA) The modern BBC Studios, was formed in April, of the year 2018. The formation was the result of a merger with, BBC Worldwide. Currently; BBC Studios does content financing, content development, content production, sales, branded services and ancillaries. For the latter, the business operations are divided into two offices. With so much television content being created, a partnership or venture with the Lions Gate Entertainment Corp, naturally was a logical idea. The previously said, is particularly true for BBC Studios Los Angeles. Recently, the Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. revealed that, it has found the executive who will lead the partnership with BBC Studios. This executive is a man named, Dan McDermott. The job title position is, Head of Scripted Television for the BBC Studios and Lionsgate Partnership.
As the Head of Scripted Television for the BBC Studios and Lionsgate Partnership; Dan McDermott, will be responsible for everything that is the business partnership. Specifically; the partnership between BBC Studios, and, the Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. is guided by the following. Identify, co-develop and co-fund two types of television content are; the starting guiding points for this partnership. After the starting guiding points, the two types of television content are; scripted formats, and, original intellectual property. Mr. Dan McDermott is also responsible for overseeing the day to day operations, and, leading the guiding points or initiatives. The goal of this business partnership is television content, for the U.S.A. market.
Returning to, Dan McDermott, the aforementioned person graduated from UCLA. His educational degree is a Bachelor’s of Arts in Film and Television. Dan McDermott began his career, at the Fox Broadcasting Network. Whilst at Fox, he held the job title position, Executive Vice President of Programming. Whilst performing this job title, he oversaw the popular television series; In Living Color (1990-1994), The Simpsons (1989-The Present), Married with Children (1986-1997) and Beverly Hills 90210 (1990-2000). After the Fox Broadcasting Network, Dan McDermott worked at Dreamworks. Whilst at Dreamworks, he was the President of Television. More recently, he attempted a startup television production company with, Lorenzo di Bonaventura.
Dan McDermott did release a press statement.
