Noresco, LLC Receives a $32.7 Million USD Contract from Keesler Air Force Base

          The funded E.S.P.C., and as a facility improvements project, was contracted through D.L.A. Energy.  Additionally, it is to be completed in collaboration with the Air Force Civil Engineer Center.  The funded E.S.P.C. of the $32.7 million dollars that, Noresco, LLC has received is for the following.  Advancing the base’s resiliency, advancing the security, advancing the renewable energy usage, reducing the energy costs and reducing the deferred maintenance is what the funded E.S.P.C.; is all about.  Furthermore, Noresco, LLC is owned by the United Technologies Corporation (NYSE:  UTX).

          The scope of work, of the awarded energy savings performance contract (E.S.P.C.), is made up of the following.  First, a 1.5MW solar photovoltaic (PV) carport array is to be implemented.  The implementation is to take place at the base commissary that, is near the primary entry gate.  Second, chiller plant optimization controls are going to be installed.  The new controls are intended to replace, the outdated building controls.  Specifically, the new chiller plant optimization controls are, cyber-secure direct digital controls.  Third, almost 30,000 light fixtures are going to be upgraded.  For the latter, it also includes parking lot lights, with new L.E.D. lighting.  Fourth, oversight of the controls and maintenance of the PV array, has to be executed throughout the life of the contract.  The effort; is to reduce the maintenance burden, all the while, helping to ensure improved and reliable operations.  Overall, the scope of work and for a value of $32.7 million dollars; these previously stated energy conservation measures are intended to improve reliability, increase cost effectiveness and reduce energy consumption.
