(Los Angeles, CA) Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, was originally released, in March of the year 2006. Since then, this video game is credited with selling more than 6 million units, worldwide. Interestingly, it is also the 12th installment or chapter. Incidentally, the first Final Fantasy game was released, in the year 1987. For the most part; each installment, of this role playing video game (R.P.G.), is a standalone story. However; recurring elements, game mechanics and characters help link the installments. Overall, this series of video games is credited with having sold more than 144 million units, worldwide. Recently, Square Enix, Inc. revealed that, it has re-released Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age. The re-release is due to the fact that, it is re-mastered. The re-mastered version is available for Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Xbox One X. Additionally, it is available now at retail stores.
Also at retail stores, is an updated version that is exclusive for Playstation 4. However, the Playstation 4 version is not the re-mastered version. In reference to Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, the video game developer or publisher, is Square Enix, Inc. Square Enix, Inc. is a completely owned subsidiary of, Square Enix Holdings Co., Ltd. The re-mastered version is a highlight of a re-worked game design, re-mastered visuals and it is also its own H.D. version. Specifically for the Xbox One X, it supports 60 frames per second. The idea was to take full advantage of this current generation of hardware, and, the capabilities the hardware provides. As a result; the graphics, the audio and the play experience were all dramatically improved. The brief synopsis of Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age is as follows. The world of Ivalice, is the home to the 12th installment of the Final Fantasy series. In Ivalice; magic is a common thing, and, airships fly in the sky. Additionally, in Ivalice there is a small kingdom named Dalmasca. Regrettably, Dalmasca is trapped between two empires that are at war, with each other. These two empires are Archadia, and, Rozarria. In Dalmasca, the lone heir to the throne is Princess Ashe. Additionally, she has devoted herself to liberating Dalmasca, from this wretched war. Princess Ashe also takes things; one step further, and, she starts a resistance. One day, she meets Vaan. Vaan is a young thief, and, together they embark on a journey. This journey becomes their destiny.
There are also enhancements to the story, or plot, of this video game. These enhancements are license reset function, additional gambit sets and improved new game plus. In reference to license reset function, the player can reset and change their party member’s job. This is done by talking to Clan Centurio’s leader, Montblanc, in Rabanastre. In reference to additional gambit sets, players can customize their party’s artificial intelligence. The changing of the gambits, or artificial intelligence, can be done across three unique sets. Additionally, the player can change the set, at anytime. In reference to improved new game plus, players can start the game with party members that, are at the level 90. Additionally; items like weapons, magic and gils can be carried over.
To end and as previously stated; Square Enix, Inc. recently revealed that, it has re-released Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age. The re-release is due to the fact that, it is re-mastered. The re-mastered version is available for Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Xbox One X. Lastly and additionally, the aforementioned video game title, is available now at retail stores.
