The Henry Side Gate Lever Action Rifle Launches

(Bayonne, NJ) In the year 1997, Henry Repeating Arms, removed the dust off the legendary and iconic rifle brand; Henry.  The aforementioned gun manufacturer, set out to use the tubular feed design; as it was originally designed by Benjamin Tyler Henry.  Fascinatingly, the tubular feed design is essential, for lever action rifles.  Incidentally, Benjamin Tyler Henry patented the first Henry rifle, in the year 1860.  For historical context, the Henry rifle as a lever action rifle, was the first repeating rifle.  It is also the United States of America’s unique contribution to, international firearm design.  For 22 years, Henry Repeating Arms has been loyal to the essence of the original, Henry rifle.  Recently, Henry Repeating Arms revealed that, it has launched the Henry Side Gate Lever Action Rifle.  The latter, offers a unique two types of loading options.  These two types of loading options, are a historical first.  Fascinatingly, it is the first historical design deviation, from the original Henry rifle design.

The first historical design deviation, from the original Henry rifle design, is the lever action with a loading gate.  As previously said, it is also the recently unveiled, Henry Side Gate Lever Action Rifle.  Specifically, for the first historical design deviation, the side loading gate is below the ejection port.  This new design, permits the rifle’s user to completely load the maximum 5 rounds quickly.  Additionally, the user could also choose to use the magazine tube, to be able to, more efficiently load the maximum 5 rounds.  The magazine tube is completely removable, and, it is the newest way of loading the Henry rifle.  The magazine tube, can also be used, to unload the rifle.  Incidentally; The Henry Side Gate Lever Action Rifle, is traditionally unloaded by working the lever action, in order, to cycle the live rounds through the ejection port.

Continuing with, the Henry Side Gate Lever Action Rifle, it comes in three standard caliber sizes.  These three standard caliber sizes are 30-30, 38-55 and 35 Rem.  The receiver continues to be the signature, hardened brass.  Remarkably, the latter has the same tensile and yield strength, as steel.  The Henry Side Gate Lever Action Rifle, also, comes drilled and tapped.  The effort is to be able to, accept a scope base.  The wood is American walnut, and, it is engraved using a laser.  The design, is a deep checkered design with scrollwork.  The word “Henry” is also part of the laser engraved design, of the wooden rifle stock.  The barrel of the Henry Side Gate Lever Action Rifle, is 20 inch blued steel.  It is capable of varying twist rates; it has a completely adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight, and, an ivory bead front sight.  The safety feature, is a patented in-hammer sliding transfer bar.  The previous; prevents the rifle from firing until the hammer is cocked, and, the trigger is pulled.

To end, Henry Repeating Arms did release press statements.  Andy Wickstrom is the Vice President and General Manager of Henry Repeating Arms.  Through a press statement, Mr. Wickstrom said the following.  “It is no accident that our modern lever action rifles take inspiration from the legendary 1860’s era Henry rifle that started it all.  Today’s Henry firearms retain classic looks but take advantage of state-of-the-art technology to build reliable, accurate and modern lever actions that are second-to-none.  However, there has always been a segment of the market that prefers a loading gate.  With the dual loading options, it’s the best of both worlds.”  Anthony Imperato is the Owner and the President of Henry Repeating Arms.  Through a press statement, Mr. Imperato said the following.  “The advent of the new Henry Side Gate solidifies Henry Repeating Arms as the first name in lever actions.  For those who have been patiently waiting on a Henry with a loading gate, we have delivered—and then some.”  As previously stated, Henry Repeating Arms recently revealed that, it has launched the Henry Side Gate Lever Action Rifle.  The latter, offers a unique two types of loading options.  These two types of loading options, are a historical first.  Fascinatingly, it is the first historical design deviation, from the original Henry rifle design.  Lastly, the manufacturer’s suggested retail price is, $1,045 USD for all of the calibers.
