(Santa Monica, CA) Ramy is a television series that, is broadcasted on Hulu. Additionally; it is a comedy internet television series, and, it premiered on April 19th, 2019. In recent news, Hulu announced that, it has renewed Ramy for its second season. Meanwhile, the Saw series of movies is made up of eight feature films. These eight feature films are Saw (2004), Saw II (2005), Saw III (2006), Saw IV (2007), Saw V (2008), Saw VI (2009), Saw: 3D the Final Chapter (2010) and Jigsaw (2017). Recently, the Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. revealed two of its ongoing projects. The first revealed project, is the picking up of Hulu’s Ramy. The second revealed project, is the extension of the Saw series of movies.
The extension of the Saw series of movies, as an ongoing Lionsgate project, has been awarded to comedian Chris Rock. However and returning to, Hulu’s Ramy; the other Lionsgate ongoing project. This project consists of picking up the international distribution rights. For the previously said, the Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. d.b.a. Lionsgate (NYSE: LGF.A and LGF.B), acquired those rights from A24. Additionally, the acquired rights include the second season that, has already been announced by Hulu. Therefore, Ramy has indeed been picked up. A24, is a movie and television studio. Additionally; A24 has offices in New York City New York, and, in Los Angeles California, U.S.A. Specifically, A24 is known for its work with HBO.
Returning to, Ramy, the aforementioned is on the schedule to be showcased. Specifically; at its upcoming L.A. Screenings Presentation, Lionsgate will showcase in order to sell it, to international buyers. For this effort, Ramy Youssef, will be present to help sell the television series. Ramy Youssef is the star, and, co-creator of this comedy internet television series. The brief synopsis of Ramy is as follows. Ramy is a first generation, Egyptian-American. Additionally, he is in his twenties. Ramy struggles with a politically divided neighborhood. His neighborhood is in the State of New Jersey, U.S.A. As a result, he attempts a spiritual journey. Additionally, this comedic spiritual journey, is the premise of this television series. Above all else, this television series attempts to highlight a different perspective; Ramy’s. For the previous; Ramy shows how, in a comedic way, he is trapped between two worlds. One world is the Muslim world or community, whilst, the other world is his current generation of the United States of America. Ramy is headlined by Ramy Youssef, Amr Waked, Hiam Abbass and May Calamawy.

Specifically, this feature film project is a spun-off movie that, expands the series of movies. For this effort, Chris Rock has a release deadline of October 23rd, 2020. Yes, the last part was correct. This feature film project, already has a scheduled release date, October 23rd, 2020. Incidentally; the following people are onboard for this feature film project, and, they are ready to help. Mark Burg and Oren Koules, were producers for the original, Saw series of movies. With the announcement of the feature film project, came the revelation that, they are onboard as producers for Chris Rock’s Saw movie. Continuing with, Chris Rock’s Saw movie, Darren Lynn Bousman will be the director. In the past; Darren Lynn Bousman, was the director for three movies of the Saw, series of movies. The writers will be or are Chris Rock, Pete Goldfinger and Josh Stolberg. Finally; the executive producers will be or are Daniel Heffner, James Wan, Leigh Whannell and Chris Rock.
The producers of the original Saw series of movies; Mark Burg and Oren Koules did release a joint press statement. Through a joint press statement, Mark Burg and Oren Koules said the following. “Chris wants to put his own spin on the Saw franchise in the way Eddie Murphy put a completely fresh perspective on buddy-cop films with 48 Hours. This new Saw is going to be an event film in the making for horror fans. It will have all of the twists and turns and hardcore layers that our fans expect directed by one of the masters of the craft, Darren Lynn Bousman.
