The sales price was revealed to be, $522 million USD. Recently, the Saban Capital Group, LLC announced that, it always thinks about making more business moves. Specifically, the aforementioned business revealed that, it has launched Saban Music Group. The latter, officially starts business operations with $500 million USD in funds. Additionally, Gustavo Lopez has been tasked with the duties and responsibilities of the, Chief Executive Officer.
The appointment of Gustavo Lopez as the Chief Executive Officer, is also, an idea of appointing a music industry veteran. As a veteran of the music industry, Mr. Gustavo Lopez, has previously performed two important roles. The roles are; owner of a record label, and, executive. However and returning to, Saban Capital Group, LLC, the aforementioned is an American investment firm. Technically, it is a private business equity firm. For the most part, this private business equity firm specializes in investments. The investments are strategic and in the following sectors of the economy; media, entertainment, communications and product merchandising. The Saban Capital Group, LLC owns a percentage of, Univision Communications, Inc. Through the previous, the former owns and operates, Saban Films. Incidentally, Celestial Tiger Entertainment, also, owns part of Saban Films.
Returning to, Mr. Gustavo Lopez, the aforementioned person completely agrees with Saban Music Group’s goals. The latter, is due to a business acquisition deal. The acquisition is or was of, Mr. Gustavo Lopez’s record label, by the Saban Music Group. The record label is or was, Talento Uno. The acquisition includes the record label, the management assets and the publishing assets. Interestingly, Talento Uno, was recently founded in the year 2017. Prior to founding his record label, Gustavo Lopez, worked at Universal Music Latin Entertainment. His job title position during his time there was, General Manager and Executive Vice President. Mr. Gustavo Lopez held this job title position, for 21 years. Whilst working at Universal Music Latin Entertainment, he was primarily responsible for the following record labels; Machete Music, Fonovisa and Disa. Already on the tasks item list, for Gustavo Lopez, are the following three things. The first thing is; the Israeli duo, Static and Ben El, is onboard and signed to the Saban Music Group. The second thing is, the management team of Colombian Reggaeton star Reykon, is signed to the Saban Music Group. Finally and the third thing is, Marie Monti, is this record label’s first international female music artist. Marie Monti is from the Country of France.
Overall and as part of the announcement, the Saban Music Group’s business strategy, has been made public. Saban Music Group (SMG) as a global entertainment business, will aim at the following. The aim will consist of focusing on international A&R, artist development and strategically supporting a 360° business operations concept. In reference to the music artist; SMG will sign him or her to a record label deal, they will work with him or her on their music, they will guide him or her and they will provide resources. The goal is that the international music artist, will be able to, receive a global outlet for his or her music. As part of the 360° business operations concept, the Saban Music Group, will attempt to acquire additional businesses. It is hoped that; these businesses will have in-house expertise in the recording process, the publishing side of the music industry and the management side of the music industry.
