Chargebee Secures $14 Million USD in a Series D Funding Round

(San Francisco, CA) Chargebee or Chargebee.com, currently, has its headquarters office in the Country of India.  Additionally, it is a computer software business.  This business’s specialization is billing technology solutions.  As a result, of its specialization, Chargebee is in high demand.  The demand is best characterized by having its billing solutions, used by more than 1,800 businesses.  These more than 1,800 businesses are located in 53 countries, and, 120 foreign currencies are used in the financial transactions.  Recently, Chargebee announced that, it continues to think about the revenue cycle.  Specifically, the aforementioned business revealed that, it has secured $14 million USD in a Series D funding round.  Overall, this business reports that it has $38.2 million USD, in total funds.  As part of the funding round, current investors decided to double down on their bet.  The current investors who doubled down on their bet are Insight Venture Partners, and, Accel.  The most noteworthy new investor of Chargebee.com is Steadview Capital.

          Steadview Capital, as the most noteworthy new investor, will be contributing funds.  The funds will be used for the following one thing.  The one thing is, expanding the product offerings.  In reference to, expanding the product offerings, the aforementioned begins with the ability to scale.  Second, Chargebee does plan to develop more business partnerships.  Through the newly developed business partnerships, the product offerings, will one day be a complete ecosystem of automated revenue operations.  Finally and third, entering the European SaaS marketplace is included, in the expansion plans.  However and returning to, Chargebee or Chargebee.com, the aforementioned was founded in the year 2011.  As previously said, due to its specialization, Chargebee is in high demand.  Coincidentally, the demand also results in popularity.  Currently, Chargebee.com is a very popular software as a service (SaaS), website.  The popularity is due to the fact that one of its services, is the automation of revenue operations.  This service is very appealing to high growth, subscription based businesses.  Through the automation of revenue operations; subscriptions, billing, invoicing, payments and revenue processes are completely automated.  Additionally; the automation yields reports, metrics and insights of the subscriptions or subscribers.  Ravi Mehta is the Founder and the Managing Partner of Steadview Capital.  Through a press statement, Mr. Mehta said the following.  High-growth subscription businesses need the right kind of infrastructure that enables a rapid scale.  Over the next few years, we believe robust subscription management platforms will become an essential layer in business tech stacks.  We are very excited to partner with Chargebee in this space.”

          As previously said and as part of the funding round, current investors decided to double down on their bet.  The current investors who doubled down on their bet are Insight Venture Partners and Accel.  Shelly Perry is a Board Member at Insight Venture Partners.  Through a press statement, Ms./Mrs. Perry said the following.  SaaS and subscription-based products must be customer-centric, while also maximizing profitability at scale.  As the source of truth for subscription data, Chargebee is in a unique position to enable businesses with both the experience and revenue opportunities they can capture.”  Shekhar Kirani works at Accel.  Through a press statement, Mr. Kirani said the following.  “Globally, subscription-based businesses have seen aggressive growth over the last few years.  Infrastructure platforms like Chargebee handle subscription management, billing, compliance, and revenue recognition allowing modern businesses to focus on their core competencies.”
