Arc Light Hollywood Announces Cinerama 2019

(Hollywood, CA) The Arc Light chain of movie theaters; does have a flagship location, or, flagship movie theater.  The aforementioned is, Arc Light Hollywood.  Additionally; it is located on 6360 W. Sunset Blvd., Hollywood, California U.S.A.  Affectionately, it is referred to as, the Arc Light Complex.  The Arc Light Complex is made up of the historical Cinerama Dome, and, the 15 screen multiplex Arc Light Hollywood.  As a beloved place, where movie fans can be immersed by the movie theater experience, Arc Light Hollywood, does attempt to do a little bit more.  The little bit more begins with, the annual Cinerama.  Recently, Arc Light Hollywood announced that, the annual Cinerama is always an anticipated event.  Specifically, the aforementioned business revealed that Cinerama 2019, has arrived.  Technically and regrettably, it has already started.  Officially, there are five screening dates and films.  The first screened film was 2001:  A Space Odyssey (1968), and, the Cinerama 2019 screening date was September 16th, 2019.  The last screened film is going to be Lawrence of Arabia (1962), and, the Cinerama 2019 screening date is October 2nd, 2019.

          On October 2nd, 2019 and with the screening of the feature film, Lawrence of Arabia (1962), Cinerama 2019 will officially end.  Movie fans of the Los Angeles area, will have to wait until Cinerama 2020, for another opportunity to watch 70 mm feature films.  However and returning to, Arc Light’s Cinerama, the aforementioned is an annual celebration of the wide screen film format.  Technically speaking; the wide screen film format, is a film that has a width to height aspect ratio that, is greater than the standard 1.37:1.  Additionally, a standard 35 mm film usually produces the 1.37:1 aspect ratio.  Therefore; a good place to start looking, when it comes to feature films that, are wide screen film format is the 70 mm film.  Obviously, digital restorations of 70 mm films are always a treasure, to movie fans.  As a result, a good movie watching experience of a 70 mm film is something that, is a little bit more.  The latter; does walk in step with Arc Light’s mission statement, and, the spirit of the annual Cinerama.  The former is, strive to provide transformational experiences to moviegoers.  Particularly, movie fans who want a greater connection, to the actual feature film.  A greater connection to the creative elements of the film creation process, is also part, of the previously stated.
