Lacework, Inc. Secures $42 Million USD in a Funding Round

(Mountain View, CA) Currently, Lacework, Inc. or Lacework.com is the home for automation.  Automated internet cloud security and compliance, being more exact, about the previously said.  The compliance part is a reference to Amazon’s A.W.S., Azure, GCP and private internet clouds.  This ability to automate, immediately, produces benefits.  One example, of the benefits is a comprehensive view of risks.  The view of the risks is of the internet cloud, as it relates to, internet cloud workloads and containers.  This view is made possible by a proprietary platform that, is capable of an unmatched internet cloud security technology solution.  Interestingly; the technology solution is also unmatched when it comes to visibility, automated intrusion detection, a one-click investigation process and a simplified compliance process.  Recently; Lacework, Inc. announced that, it wants to be more aggressive, when it comes to selling the services of its proprietary platform.  Specifically, the aforementioned business revealed that, it has secured $42 million USD in a funding round.  As part of the funding round, Andy Byron was hired as the President of Lacework, Inc.  Additionally, Mike Speiser and John McMahon will be joining the board of directors.  The most noteworthy new investors of Lacework, Inc. are Sutter Hill Ventures and Liberty Global Ventures.

          Liberty Global Ventures and Sutter Hill Ventures as the most noteworthy new investors, will be contributing funds.  The funds will be used for the following one thing.  The one thing is sales and marketing efforts.  In reference to, sales and marketing efforts, the aforementioned include a re-branding of the Lacework platform.  Through the re-branding, it is hoped that the Lacework platform will be re-innovated.  The previous, is also, the idea to aid the sales efforts.  In reference to the marketing efforts, the funds will be used to reach out to Devops teams.  The idea is to showcase the security, and, compliance features of the Lacework platform.  However and returning to, Lacework’s platform, the aforementioned is a complete technology solution.  Additionally; it is meant for I.T. infrastructure, Devops, orchestrations environments, internet cloud workloads and hybrid workloads.  Devops is a compound word that, means two things.  The first thing is Dev, which means software development methodology.  The end point is software development.  The second thing is Ops, which means information technology operations.  Overall; the idea of Devops is a business culture, and, a business practice.  The goal; is to have I.T. teams successfully automate the software development process, or, to automate necessary infrastructure changes.  Obviously and in reference to Lacework.com, the aforementioned helps with the necessary internet cloud security.  In other words, whilst working through the Lacework platform, I.T. teams don’t have to worry about security risks.  As previously said and as part of the funding round, Andy Byron, was hired as the President of Lacework, Inc.  Mr. Andy Byron was hired to lead Lacework’s sales and marketing efforts.  The goal is to acquire new customers, and, re-brand the business as a leader in the internet cloud security sector of the economy.  For this task, Mr. Andy Byron will fall back on his prior work experience; to be able to successfully accomplish the task.  His prior work experience includes being the Chief Revenue Officer, the Chief Operating Officer and the President.  In reference to, the title Chief Revenue Officer, the aforementioned job title position was for a business named Cybereason.  In reference to, Chief Operating Officer and President, the aforementioned job title positions were for a business named Fuze.

          As previously said, Mike Speiser and John McMahon will be joining Lacework’s Board of Directors.  Mike Speiser is the founding C.E.O. of Snowflake.  Additionally, he is also a Partner at Sutter Hill Ventures.  Meanwhile, John McMahon is a Snowflake Board Member.  Mike Speiser did release a press statement.  Through a press statement, Mr. Speiser said the following.  “The security market is crowded with point solutions and legacy vendors trying to become relevant for containers and the cloud.  It’s clear that DevOps and security teams want a single platform for their security and compliance needs, and only Lacework provides that.  The company is doing all the right things and is on track to become the Snowflake for security.”

          Ankur Prakash is a Partner at Liberty Global Ventures.  Through a press statement, Mr. Prakash said the following.  “We believe cloud infrastructure is a fundamental part of the digital revolution—and so securing it is very critical.  Lacework has the best cloud security product and also a world class team to deliver on this promise.  We look forward to working closely with them.”
