Nicholas Lombardi, Jr. Releases a Fiction Book

(Louisville, KY) In the year 1980, the American Psychiatric Association, officially recognized post traumatic stress disorder (P.T.S.D.).  Coincidentally, the term P.T.S.D. became commonly used during the 1970’s.  This is due to the Vietnam War, and, the diagnoses of U.S. military veterans.  Prior to this official recognition; post traumatic stress disorder, was also referred to as shell shock, or, combat neurosis.  Fascinatingly, aside from military veterans, P.T.S.D. isn’t that common.  In fact, it is reported that, only about 3.5% of adults have P.T.S.D.  Additionally, it is estimated that only about 9% of the population will have P.T.S.D., during a person’s lifetime.  Recently, Nicholas Lombardi, Jr. announced that, he thinks about the effects of post traumatic stress disorder.  Specifically, the aforementioned author revealed that, he has released a fiction book.  The fiction book or novel is entitled, Justice Gone.  In, Justice Gone, Mr. Lombardi, Jr. develops a legal thriller story centered on P.T.S.D.

          The P.T.S.D. centered legal thriller story, Justice Gone, is made possible by the following book publishing company.  Officially, the book publishing company is, Roundfire Books.  However and returning to, post traumatic stress disorder, the aforementioned is classified as a mental disorder.  The cause is exposure to a very traumatic event.  Sexual assault, war, violent collisions and threats can trigger post traumatic stress disorder.  The symptoms include disturbing thoughts, feelings or dreams.  Obviously, the latter are related to the event that, triggered P.T.S.D.  Aside from the symptoms, a person also does feel changes, when it comes to thinking and emotions.  These altered thoughts and emotions; can lead to suicide attempts, and, self-harm.

          Returning to, Justice Gone, the aforementioned literary work is a legal thriller fiction book or novel.  Additionally, it attempts an exploration.  The exploration is about police brutality, the U.S. legal system and military veterans that have been diagnosed with P.T.S.D.  According to Nicholas Lombardi, Jr., Justice Gone, is based on a real life event.  In reference to this literary effort, Nicholas Lombardi, Jr., has already received recognition from professional colleagues.  The 13th Annual National Indie Excellency Award, the Reader’s Favorite Annual Book Awards’ Silver Medal Award and the 2019 American Fiction Award for Best Legal Thriller are some of the recognitions that; Nicholas Lombardi, Jr. has already received for Justice Gone.  The brief synopsis of Justice Gone, is as follows.  In a small town in the State of New Jersey, U.S.A., a war veteran is a homeless man.  Regrettably, local law enforcement beats him to death, one day.  The public does express outrage, over the beating and subsequent death, of this homeless military veteran.  A short time later, three other police officers are killed.  The police officially set out to capture, a “cop killer.”  Donald Darfield, is an African American or Black man.  He is also an Iraq War veteran, and, friend of the homeless man who was beaten to death.  Regrettably, Donald Darfield is targeted for being, the cop killer.  Coincidentally, a military veteran counselor, Dr. Tessa Thorpe is in the middle.  She is in the middle, because, both men were her patients.  It doesn’t take long, and, the police successfully capture and arrest Donald Darfield.  Nathaniel Bodine, becomes Mr. Darfield’s attorney.  Oddly enough, he is a blind man.  Donald Darfield’s murder trial begins, and, only two people are on his side.  The two people are; Dr. Tessa Thorpe, and, Nathaniel Bodine.  At the center of everything, are military veterans who have been diagnosed with, post traumatic stress disorder (P.T.S.D.).

          To end, Nicholas Lombardi, Jr. has written other fiction books or novels.  In fact, his first fiction book is entitled, The Plain of Jars.  His second fiction book is entitled, Journey Towards a Falling Sun.  In reference to both books, he was inspired by his travels.  His travels include the world regions; Africa, Asia and the Middle East.  For, The Plain of Jars, Mr. Nicholas Lombardi, Jr. set the story in the Country of Laos.  For, Journey Towards a Falling Sun, Mr. Nicholas Lombardi, Jr. set the story in the Country of Kenya.  Currently; he reports that, he lives full time, in the Country of Cambodia.  As previously stated, Nicholas Lombardi, Jr. recently announced that, he thinks about the effects of post traumatic stress disorder.  Specifically, the aforementioned author revealed that, he has released a fiction book.  The fiction book or novel is entitled, Justice Gone.  In, Justice Gone, Mr. Lombardi, Jr. develops a legal thriller story centered on P.T.S.D.  Lastly, the book publishing company is, Roundfire Books.
