have plans to include more people, in their shopping plans. On average, the average consumer is shopping
for gifts for 8 people in their lives.
The average spending budget of the average consumer, is predicted at
$618.93 USD. Overall, spending on gift
cards does appeal to consumers.
Particularly, gift cards are appealing because, they help to alleviate
shopper pain points. For example dealing
with crowds, not knowing what to buy, buying the wrong gift and waiting in line
are the most common shopper pain points.
Finally, the 2019 Branded Pay Holiday Shopping Preview Report, predicts
the following about gift cards. It
predicts that the gift card categories; grocery store, convenience store,
entertainment, travel, health & beauty, home goods, furniture and
department store gift cards are the most popular.
