Downton Abbey: The Exhibition Launches at North Carolina’s Biltmore


(Asheville, NC) The Biltmore Company operates an 8,000 acre estate.  Additionally, this estate is enveloped by the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains.  In reference to a physical location, The Biltmore Company or the Biltmore, is located in Asheville North Carolina, U.S.A.  As an Asheville majestic estate; the Biltmore is the home to hospitality lodging accommodations, fine dining, casual dining and leisure activities.  Fascinatingly, all of the aforementioned are done in a manner that, exudes a Vanderbilt legacy of gracious hospitality.  Recently, The Biltmore Company announced that, it continues to be a vessel of Vanderbilt hospitality.  Specifically, the aforementioned business revealed that, Downton Abbey:  The Exhibition has been launched.  The launch officially occurred on November 8th, 2019.  Additionally, Downton Abbey:  The Exhibition ends on April 7th, 2020. 
            From November 8th, 2019 to April 7th, 2020, Downton Abbey:  The Exhibition; will be an immersive exhibition that requires a fee.  The entrance fee can be paid, in several ways.  The ways are through a regular daytime estate admission, a Candlelight Christmas Evenings admission or an overnight stay at one of the three lodging options.  However and returning to, The Biltmore Company or the Biltmore, the aforementioned Asheville estate has three types of hospitality lodging options.  The three options are the Village Hotel, The Inn and a private cottage.  The Village Hotel, is technically, the Village Hotel on Biltmore Estate.  What highlights the Village Hotel on Biltmore Estate, is close proximity to the estate’s amenities.  The Inn, is technically, The Inn on Biltmore Estate.  What highlights The Inn on Biltmore Estate; are a gracious concept of hospitality, and, a high level of service.  The aforementioned is referred to as, Vanderbilt inspired hospitality.  The private cottage, is a historic home, which is original to the estate.  Additionally, the private cottage has been renovated, and, brought up to date.  Furthermore, it is considered to be an indulgence of the variety; exclusive getaway.  An overnight stay; for those travelers who are interested, equals experiencing the same hospitality that was enjoyed by, George Vanderbilt and Edith Vanderbilt.  Overall and as an estate, The Biltmore Company or the Biltmore, offers exclusive amenities to the community of Asheville.  The amenities include a winery, luxury shops, distinctive restaurants and The Biltmore Legacy.
            Returning to; Downton Abbey:  The Exhibition, the aforementioned and as previously said, is an immersive exhibition.  This immersive exhibition is of the television series.  Additionally; it is made up of set recreations, exclusive multimedia elements and more than 50 official costumes.  The goal is to provide the fans of this television series, with a real life experience, of the Gilded Age or post-Edwardian era.  The real life experience begins with the protagonist of the television series, the Crawley family.  The lives of their servants are also part, of how the real life experience, is made real.  Aiding the previously said, are multimedia elements and artifacts.  The multimedia elements and artifacts help to immerse the visitor in the social history, culture and memorable moments of the television series.  The more than 50 costumes, are from the six seasons, which make up the television series.  Onsite at the Biltmore, this immersive exhibition is located in two separate locations.  The first location is Biltmore’s Amherst, whilst, the second location is Biltmore Legacy in Antler Hill Village.  Overall, Downton Abbey:  The Exhibition, is a tour that is organized by NBCUniversal and Imagine Exhibitions.  Interestingly, this stay at the Biltmore, is the fourth stop in the official U.S. tour.  NBCUniversal and Imagine Exhibitions officially launched the tour, in New York City.  The previously said occurred on November of the year, 2017.  The second stop was in the City of Boston, whilst, the third stop was in the City of West Palm Beach.
            To end, The Biltmore Company did release a press statement.  Travis Tatham is the Director of Entertainment and Event Programming at The Biltmore Company.  Through a press statement, Mr. Tatham said the following.  “Not just any location can offer an immersive experience for Downton Abbey fans like we can here at Biltmore.  The costumes, sets and historic artifacts all feel like they belong.  The many parallels between Downton Abbey and the stories at Biltmore make this experience truly multifaceted for our guests.”  As previously stated, The Biltmore Company recently announced that, it continues to be a vessel of Vanderbilt hospitality.  Specifically, the aforementioned business revealed that, Downton Abbey:  The Exhibition has been launched.  The launch officially occurred on November 8th, 2019.  Lastly and additionally, Downton Abbey:  The Exhibition ends on April 7th, 2020.
