KBR, Inc. Has Been Awarded a $23.7 Million USD Base Operations Services Contract


(Houston, TX) The Kingdom of Bahrain is an island country.  Additionally, it is located in the Persian Gulf.  Physically, Bahrain is an island chain, which is centered on Bahrain Island.  The latter, is located between the Qatar Peninsula, and, the North Eastern coast of Saudi Arabia.  Fascinatingly, Bahrain Island is connected to Saudi Arabia, through, the 25 kilometer King Fahd Causeway.  The latter, is a series of bridges.  Meanwhile, KBR, Inc. is a leading provider of government solutions services, and, energy sector services.  Additionally, it is a global business.  Currently, it reports business clients in more than 80 countries.  Of those 80 business client countries, KBR, Inc. conducts business operations in 40 countries.  The business operations are centered on three sectors of the economy; government solutions, technology solutions and energy solutions.  Recently, KBR, Inc. announced that, it is very familiar with the Kingdom of Bahrain.  Specifically, the aforementioned business revealed that, it has been awarded a $23.7 million USD base operations services contract (B.O.S.C.).  Additionally, this contract is to provide services to the members of the United States Armed Forces, who are stationed in Bahrain.  Technically, the base operations services contract was awarded by Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Europe, Africa and Southwest Asia (NAVFAC EURAFSWA). 
            The $23.7 million dollar contract, which was awarded by NAVFAC EURAFSWA, is technically a contract modification.  As a contract modification it extends an existing 5 year contract.  The existing 5 year contract, was first awarded in June of the year, 2014.  This contract is currently being performed, at Shaikh Isa Air Base in the Kingdom of Bahrain.  What it extends is an additional 12 months, with, an additional 3 months as an optional period.  However and returning to; KBR, Inc., the aforementioned business and as previously said, conducts business operations across three sectors of the economy.  The three sectors of the economy are government solutions, technology solutions and energy solutions.  In reference to, government solutions, the aforementioned is the complete lifecycle of government capabilities.  For example; defense, space, aviation and other types of government programs and missions.  Specifically for missions; the aforementioned includes research and development, systems engineering, testing & evaluation, program management, operations, maintenance and filed logistics.  In reference to, technology solutions, the aforementioned is centered on proprietary technology solutions.  For example; KBR, Inc. has the capabilities to monetize hydrocarbons, ethylene and petrochemicals.  In reference to, energy solutions, the aforementioned is onshore and offshore drilling.  Particularly, the onshore and offshore drilling, is of oil and gas.  Additionally, KBR, Inc. does have the capabilities to refine oil, produce petrochemicals, produce chemicals and produce fertilizers.
            Returning to; the $23.7 million USD B.O.S.C., the aforementioned and according to the way it was modified, is for the following.  KBR, Inc. will continue to provide numerous services that include; galley operations, facility maintenance, grounds maintenance, custodial services, pest control services, power generation, power distribution, diesel fuel operations, reverse osmosis water purification services, reverse osmosis water purification distribution and base vehicle maintenance.  Fascinatingly, KBR, Inc. has been performing these types of services for more than 75 years.  Additionally, this business is also capable of performing these types of services for allied military forces, diplomatic missions & personnel and civilian missions & personnel. 
            To end, KBR, Inc. (NYSE:  KBR) did release a press statement.  Byron Bright is the President of Government Solutions U.S. at KBR, Inc.  Through a press statement, Mr. Bright said the following.  “KBR recognizes its key role in sustaining military readiness at Isa Air Base.  Whether we are providing clean water, keeping the power on or maintaining safe facilities, KBR is committed to meeting the needs of the U.S. military men and women stationed at this installation.”  As previously stated, KBR, Inc. recently announced that, it is very familiar with the Kingdom of Bahrain.  Specifically, the aforementioned business revealed that, it has been awarded a $23.7 million USD base operations services contract (B.O.S.C.).  Additionally, this contract is to provide services to the members of the United States Armed Forces, who are stationed in Bahrain.  Technically, the base operations services contract was awarded by Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Europe, Africa and Southwest Asia (NAVFAC EURAFSWA).  Lastly, this contract is technically a contract modification.
