The San Francisco Marriott Marquis Has Been Renovated


(San Francisco, CA) In the City of San Francisco, California U.S.A., S.O.M.A. is a neighborhood.  Technically, the acronym means South of Market.  The acronym is also due to the fact that, the neighborhood starts south of Market Street.  What makes S.O.M.A. special, are the sub-neighborhoods.  S.O.M.A.’s sub-neighborhoods include South Park, Yerba Buena, South Beach, Rincon Hill, Financial District South, Mission Bay and the Mission District.  As far as tourism is concerned, S.O.M.A. is where the museums are located.  As far as business is concerned; S.O.M.A. is where the headquarters offices, of many software and internet businesses, are also located.  Interestingly, also located here is the hotel; the San Francisco Marriott Marquis.  Recently; Marriott International, Inc. announced that, the San Francisco Marriott Marquis has a special status, within the business.  Specifically, the aforementioned business revealed that, the San Francisco Marriott Marquis has been renovated.  Additionally, the construction renovation project is being called extensive and transformational.  Fascinatingly, the idea behind the construction renovation project was celebrating, the City of San Francisco. 
            The City of San Francisco as something that is celebrated, does successfully connect culture and design.  Therefore and post construction renovation project, the San Francisco Marriott Marquis through its new design, is pushing the boundaries of innovation.  Additionally, innovation rethought of as a spirit, which is part of the culture of the City of San Francisco.  However and returning to; S.O.M.A., the aforementioned San Francisco neighborhood is best characterized, by the following types of buildings.  The buildings are warehouses, auto repair shops, nightclubs, residential buildings, hotels, art spaces, loft style apartments and furniture showrooms.  As the home to San Francisco’s museums, S.O.M.A. is highlighted by the following museums.  The museums are San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (S.F.M.O.M.A.), the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, the Museum of the African Diaspora, the American Bookbinders Museum, the California Historical Society and the Contemporary Jewish Museum.
            Returning to; the construction renovation project, the aforementioned and as previously said, is also meant to celebrate the City of San Francisco.  Therefore, the San Francisco Marriott Marquis now reflects the latest design thinking.  In the City of San Francisco, the San Francisco Marriott Marquis can be seen in the city’s skyline.  This idea and sentiment, and in turn, was taken inside into the hotel’s interior.  For this idea, the design team also included the rolling hills of the city’s geography.  Now and post construction renovation project, inclines and platforms are found inside the hotel.  The idea is creating gradual height changes that; are also complemented by white and gray finishes, abundant textures and vibrant colors.  In reference to, the hotel guestrooms, the aforementioned have also been renovated.  Specifically, there are 1,500 hotel guestrooms that, have also received the same previously mentioned design thinking.  Additionally, the hotel guestrooms are meant to be enjoyed by working travelers.  Therefore and now, there are views of the city that have been paired with, multiple purpose work surfaces.  The idea is a work and live design idea, and, there is a smart television in each hotel guestroom.  The idea behind the smart television, is inspiration.
