Green Hills Software’s Operating System Has Been Selected by Collins Aerospace

(Santa Barbara, CA) The application of a computer system that, processes information with incompatible classifications; is known as multilevel security, or, multiple levels of security (M.L.S.).  Additionally; it is meant for users who are across different security levels, and, it permits them access.  Security clearances, classified information or just allowing user access are three examples; of the granted permission that is given by multiple levels of security.  For the most part, there are two types of situations where a multiple levels of security protocol, is tasked into service.  The first type of situation, is where a computer system has its own sufficiently protected domains of information.  This type, is also known as, trustworthy.  The second type of situation, is where a computer system isn’t sufficiently capable of protecting its domains of information.  However, it is required that this computer system should be sufficiently strong enough, security wise.  This type, is also known as, not necessarily trustworthy.  Currently, Green Hills Software is a business that, specializes in multiple levels of security (M.L.S.) software.  Recently, Green Hills Software announced that, it is the proud proprietor of an operating system.  Additionally; this operating system has the ability to host M.L.S. applications, and, it can produce a virtualization of legacy Linux applications.  Specifically, the aforementioned business revealed that, its Integrity-178 Time-Variant Unified Multi-Processing (T.U.M.P.) R.T.O.S. Operating System has been selected by Collins Aerospace.  The purpose, is for use by the U.S. Navy’s Tactical Combat Training System Increment II Program.
The U.S. Navy’s Tactical Combat Training System Increment II Program, uses the Xilinx Ultra Scale + F.P.G.A.  The latter, does pair up perfectly well with Green Hills Software’s Integrity-178 T.U.M.P. R.T.O.S.  Obviously; the use, implementation or incorporation will be done through Collins Aerospace.  However and returning to, Green Hills Software, the aforementioned computer software technology business operates two headquarters offices.  The first headquarters office is located in, Santa Barbara, California U.S.A.  The second headquarters office is located in, the Country of the United Kingdom/Britain.  This office is also considered to be, the official European headquarters office.  Currently, Green Hills Software is considered to be a leader, of embedded safety and security computer software.  For this unique distinction, it can proudly claim that, a proprietary operating system is the first and only.  Specifically, in the year 2008, Green Hills Software’s Integrity-178 R.T.O.S. was certified by the National Information Assurance Partnership (N.I.A.P.).  The classification was E.A.L. 6+ High Robustness.  The latter, is the highest level of security that has ever been achieved, by any software product.  Additionally; Integrity-178 R.T.O.S. has an open architecture, and, it is an integrated development software technology solution.  Furthermore, it has deeply embedded safety/security and high-reliability applications, for the following sectors of the economy.  Military, avionics, medical, industrial, automotive, networking, consumer and other types of consumer end markets are the sectors of the economy.
Returning to; the U.S. Navy’s Tactical Combat Training System Increment II Program, the aforementioned is also known as, TCTS, Inc. II.  In reference to, the TCTS, Inc. II’s use of the Xilinx Ultra Scale + F.P.G.A., the aforementioned is perfectly suited with Green Hills Software’s Integrity-178 Time-Variant Unified Multi-Processing (T.U.M.P.) R.T.O.S. for the following four reasons.  Incidentally, these four reasons can also be called, four key factors of compatibility.  The first key factor is, Green Hills Software’s Integrity-178 Time Variant Unified Multi-Processing (T.U.M.P.) R.T.O.S., has proven software architecture of multiple independent levels of security (M.I.L.S.).  The second key factor is, the ability to host multiple levels of security (M.L.S.).  An example, of the previously said, is the cross domain solutions (C.D.S.).  The third key factor is; the ability to host a guest operating system, and, legacy Linux applications through a secure virtualized partition.  The final and fourth key factor is, conformance to the Future Airborne Capability Environment (F.A.C.E.) 3.0 technical standard.
To end, Green Hills Software did release a press statement.  Dan O’Dowd is the Founder and the Chief Executive Officer of Green Hills Software.  Through a press statement, Mr. O’Dowd said the following.  “Green Hills Software is proud to be selected by Collins Aerospace for the TCTS Inc. II program.  As a part of a comprehensive defense against adversaries who increasingly attack U.S. and Allied deployed electronic systems, the INTEGRITY-178 tuMP RTOS is the clear solution as more programs of record utilize an MLS operating system capable of complying with Common Criteria EAL 6+ assurance requirements and the SKPP.”  As previously stated, Green Hills Software recently announced that, it is the proud proprietor of an operating system. Lastly and the purpose, is for use by the U.S. Navy’s Tactical Combat Training System Increment II Program.
