(Fremont,
CA) Ravenswood Solutions’ parent company is
SRI International. Interestingly, SRI
International is indeed guided by its mission statement. The latter is to collaborate in order to
create world changing solutions that; make people safer, healthier and more
productive. In order to accomplish its
mission statement, the aforementioned business falls back on, its business
model. The latter is to invent, apply
and transition. Fascinatingly, even SRI
International’s business model has a second fall back point that, helps prop
up. The second fall back point is, the
business’s history. In the year 1946,
SRI International was founded by Stanford
University. Since then, SRI International’s history has
been filled by more than 70 years of innovation. Recently; Ravenswood Solutions announced
that, as a child company, it also strives to be innovative. Specifically, the aforementioned business
revealed that, it has been awarded a military contract by the United Kingdom
Ministry of Defense. The latter, is a
five year contract. Regrettably, the
monetary value was not made public.
The monetary value of the five year
contract with the United Kingdom Ministry of Defense, which was not made
public, is to provide the British Army with the following. What it is providing, is a tactical
engagement simulation service.
Additionally, this service is to be performed to the British Army,
whilst, it is in the Country of Kenya.
Interestingly, the previously said is referred to as, TESIK. However and returning to, SRI International,
the aforementioned business is truly innovative. For example; in more than 70 years it has
created new industries, has created billions of dollars in market value and has
left behind positive social benefits. As
evidence for the previously said; SRI International cites the computer mouse,
robotic surgery and cancer treatments.
In reference to, innovation, the aforementioned is best highlighted by
four things. The first thing is, SRI
International has more than 4,000 issued patents in total. The second thing is, the aforementioned
business averages about 500 disclosures per year. The third thing is, it averages about 1,000
research and development projects, per year.
The fourth thing is, in the last ten years SRI International has spent
more than, $4 billion USD to conduct research.
Finally and currently, the aforementioned business reports 19 office
locations. These 19 office locations are
in the U.S.A.,
and, in the Country of Japan. However,
the headquarters office is listed as being in, the Silicon Valley. For all office locations, SRI International
reports approximately 1,500 employees.
Returning to; the announced military
contract, the aforementioned and as previously said, is referred to as
TESIK. Additionally, TESIK is Ravenswood
Solutions’ first major military contract with, the United Kingdom Ministry of
Defense. The contractual obligations
include but are not limited to; providing the British Army with
instrumentation, weapon simulators, battlefield effects and instrumented after
action reviews (I-AARs). Additionally,
the contractual obligations include working in a cooperative manner, with two
other international businesses. The two
other international businesses are RUAG, and, Qinetiq. RUAG has its headquarters office in the
Country of Sweden. For the most part, it
is a systems provider of laser engagement.
Qinetiq has its headquarters office in the UK/Britain. For the most part; it provides engineering,
and, technical services.
Continuing with; Ravenswood
Solutions, the aforementioned business provides services to government
agencies, and, commercial clients. These
services are military services. However,
the military services are based on technology, combat training, combat testing,
combat evaluation of vehicles, combat evaluation of equipment and policy
analysis events. Additionally; these
military services are offered as packages to government agencies, and,
commercial clients. For example; a
package could be of high-fidelity instrumentation, advanced global positioning
& mapping or realistic military training effects. As a result of the previously said, military
ground troops and security forces, do turn to Ravenswood Solutions. For the most part, military ground troops and
security forces ask for; mobile instrumented training, and, performance
assessment.
To end, Ravenswood Solutions did
release a press statement. Dan Donoghue
is the Chief Executive Officer of Ravenswood Solutions. Through a press statement, Mr. Donoghue said
the following. “Team Ravenswood is
thrilled to begin building a strong, trust-based partnership with our new
client, the UK Ministry of Defense. We
tailored our best-in-industry capabilities to meet the British Army’s training
needs, and we are honored that they have put their trust and confidence in
us. We look forward to helping the MOD
achieve their desired training outcomes, as well as bridging our current
capabilities to their future needs.” As
previously stated; Ravenswood Solutions recently announced that, as a child
company, it also strives to be innovative.
Specifically, the aforementioned business revealed that, it has been
awarded a military contract by the United Kingdom Ministry of Defense. The latter, is a five year contract. Lastly and regrettably, the monetary value
was not made public.
