(Los
Angeles, CA) Every year, the
women’s rights movement is placed in the front, by two annual observances. The two annual observances are; International
Women’s Day, and, Women’s History Month.
In the United States of America,
both occur during the same month. To start,
International Women’s Day is celebrated on the 8th day of
March. This occurs every year,
obviously. Interestingly, the day is
based on the historical March 8th,
1917. The previous, is the
day women gained the right to vote, in the Russian
Soviet Federative
Socialist Republic. In the year 1977, International Women’s Day
was adopted by the United Nations.
Fascinatingly, International Women’s Day 2020 was organized around, a
United Nations theme. “I am Generation
Equality: Realizing Women’s Rights;” was
the official U.N. theme for the year 2020.
Recently, Vixen Media Group announced that, it believes in the spirit of
the previously mentioned annual observances.
Specifically, the aforementioned business revealed that, it has launched
a female empowerment campaign. The
latter, is officially named “Mirror, Mirror.”
The goal is to support International Women’s Day, and, Women’s History
Month.
Mirror, Mirror does have a second
goal, which doesn’t require the completion of the first goal. According to Vixen Media Group, it hopes that
its female empowerment campaign, will also help women in the adult
entertainment industry. The use of the
word help, is another way of saying; shatter outdated public perceptions of
women in the U.S.A.’s
pornography industry. Through its second
goal; Vixen Media Group hopes that women will feel blessed, confident,
accomplished and strong. In order to
accomplish this effort, a partnership was formed with, Pineapple Support. However and returning to, Women’s History Month,
the aforementioned annual observance highlights contributions. Specifically, it highlights the
contributions; which women have made to history, and, contemporary
society. In the United
States of America, it is celebrated during
the month of March. The idea is to
coincide with International Women’s Day.
The United Kingdom/Britain and Australia
also celebrate Women’s History Month, during the month of March. Interestingly enough; in the Country of
Canada, Women’s History Month is celebrated during the month of October. The idea is to coincide with Persons
Day. The latter, is celebrated on the 18th
day of October.
Returning to; Mirror, Mirror, the
aforementioned female empowerment campaign, is guided by a message. The message is self love and sex positivism. Additionally, the hope is to change the U.S.A.’s
perception of adult content or pornographic content. As part of Vixen’s support of International
Women’s Day, and, Women’s History Month; Mirror, Mirror will be disseminated
through Vixen’s pornography studios.
Vixen’s pornography studios are Vixen, Blacked, Tushy and Deeper. The idea of disseminating through the
pornography studios is the promotion of the art, the beauty and the strength of
women. As previously said; Vixen Media
Group hopes that women will feel blessed, confident, accomplished and strong.
Continuing with; Pineapple Support,
the aforementioned organization, is technically a 501 C-3 non-profit
organization. Additionally, it is a
registered charity in the United Kingdom/Britain. Pineapple Support, was founded in the year
2018. The credited founder is Leya
Tanit. The goal is to help women, and, L.G.B.T.Q.
members; who work in the adult entertainment industry. The help includes assisting with depression,
addiction and other mental illnesses. To
this date, Pineapple Support reports that it has helped almost 900 adult
entertainment performers. The help was
providing a connection to mental health services, low cost therapy, free
therapy, counseling and emotional support.
Leya Tanit is the Founder of Pineapple Support. Through a press statement, Ms./Mrs. Tanit
said the following. “We are so thankful
for Vixen’s generosity, and their ongoing commitment to empowering women in our
industry. Efforts like theirs not only
help raise money for performer services, they also help build a culture of
support and respect.”
To end, Vixen Media Group did
release press statements. Kayden Kross
is an Adult Film Actress, Writer and Director.
Through a press statement, Ms./Mrs. Kross said the following. “This campaign underscores that more than
ever before, women are taking the reins in a highly if not solely,
male-dominated industry, from models to directors and producers to business
owners and company executives.” Maitland
Ward is an Adult Film Model, Actress and Writer. Through a press statement, Ms./Mrs. Ward said
the following. “Vixen Media Group has
always held female empowerment, beauty and positive female image close to its
core values and it shows in the work.
Among the many misconceptions of the adult entertainment world is that
the women of the industry are unhappy, exploited, victims of circumstance, or
insecure. We want to show that the
opposite is true. This forward-looking
campaign emphasizes that society needs to stop judging women for their choices,
period. There is no set way to be a
woman and we do not need to fit within a certain mold, and we should spread
support and positivity rather than judgment and outdated stereotypes.” As previously stated, Vixen Media Group recently
announced that, it believes in the spirit of the previously mentioned annual
observances. Specifically, the
aforementioned business revealed that, it has launched a female empowerment
campaign. The latter, is officially
named “Mirror, Mirror.” The goal is to
support International Women’s Day, and, Women’s History Month. Lastly and according to Vixen Media Group; it
hopes that its female empowerment campaign, will also help women in the adult
entertainment industry.
