Bay Economic Development Alliance Unveils the Suzuki Marine Technical Center U.S.A.


(Panama City, FL) The Japanese multinational corporation, Suzuki Motor Corporation, manufactures various types of important products.  In fact; the aforementioned business manufactures automobiles, four wheel drive vehicles, motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles (A.T.V.s), outboard marine engines, wheelchairs and other types of small internal combustion engines.  It is estimated that, and around the year 2016, the Suzuki Motor Corporation was the 11th largest automobile manufacturer in the world.  Additionally, and also at that time it employed more than 45,000 employees.  Furthermore; it operated 35 production facilities in 23 foreign countries.  On the distribution side of the business, 133 distributors in 192 foreign countries did all of the work.  Meanwhile; and in the City of Panama City, Florida U.S.A., the Bay Economic Development Alliance (E.D.A.) attempts to be an asset to the business community.  In particular, it attempts to be an asset to the business community of Bay County, Florida.  Recently; the Bay Economic Development Alliance announced that, it is committed to enhancing U.S.A. based boat builders and boat dealers.  Specifically, the aforementioned business revealed that, it has unveiled the Suzuki Marine Technical Center U.S.A.  The latter, is owned by Suzuki Motor of America, Inc.  Additionally, it is a 20 acre waterfront property in Panama City, Florida.
            The 20 acre waterfront property in Panama City, the Suzuki Marine Technical Center U.S.A., still hasn’t been officially opened.  Regrettably, the information about the official opening, was not made public.  Currently, construction renovation work is being done, to the property’s existing buildings.  The construction renovation work, is expected to continue for the next three years.  Max Yamamoto is the President of Suzuki Motor of America, Inc.  Through a press statement, Mr. Yamamoto said the following.  “As a mobility company, Suzuki is about empowering people to enjoy the Great Outdoors and travel freely by land and sea.  We are planning a state-of-the-art Suzuki Marine Technical Center that will help us to develop, test and refine the best possible Suzuki outboard products for today and tomorrow.”  Max Yamamoto also said.  “Our goal is to improve people’s lives on the water, and ensure everyday mobility for as many people as possible.  This comes at a time when the boating industry is facing unparalleled challenges due to the coronavirus outbreak.  We are confident that our world and our industry will get through this crisis, which is why we are moving forward with this plan for the future.”
            However and returning to, the Bay Economic Development Alliance (E.D.A.), the aforementioned organization assists with specific research.  In fact, it does assist individual people or businesses with business related data, about Bay County.  Additionally, the E.D.A. is also respectfully known for six other types of services.  The first service is, confidential project management.  The second service is, site selection assistance.  The third service is; customized research demographic, and, labor market analysis.  The fourth service is, state and local incentives assistance.  The fifth service is, workforce development.  Finally the sixth service is; introductions to corporate, and, community leadership.
            Returning to, the Suzuki Marine Technical Center U.S.A., the aforementioned property is envisioned to do the following.  It is envisioned to be a place, where collaborative work is performed.  Specifically; collaborative work between Suzuki Motor of America, Inc., and, U.S.A. based boat & boat accessory manufacturers.  The goal is to develop and improve, outboard motors.  Currently, the types of outboard motors are 2.5 to 350 horsepower outboard motors.  This task is also planned to be completed, through, the use of the 20 acre property’s unique resources.  The resources are provided or are a result of, the property’s location; incidentally.  The resources include a launch ramp, a large basin area, an area for running and testing boats, an area for running and testing motors and a protected natural harbor.  The collaborative efforts, are also planned to be, with more than 1,200 boat dealers.  For its own business operations, Suzuki Motor of America, Inc., does plan to have engineers from Japan working there.  The work does include product launches, product testing and relevant training.
            Greg Brudnicki is the Mayor of the City of Panama City.  Through a press statement, Mayor Brudnicki said the following.  “Suzuki will be an excellent addition to the business community in Panama City.  This project also brings new high skilled jobs to our area.  This project is exciting as it will be utilizing the fantastic natural assets we have in our community and the project site will be an excellent location to see this project come to fruition.  As our community recovers and improves after Hurricane Michael, we are delighted to welcome global companies like Suzuki into our community.”  Tommy Hamm is a Bay County Commissioner.  Through a press statement, Commissioner Hamm said the following.  “We are elated to welcome Suzuki Motor of America, Inc. to Bay County.  Suzuki is a world-renowned leader in the marine industry and we are certainly proud that they have selected Bay County for their USA Marine Technical Center.  Suzuki will be a great addition to our community, and we are excited that this investment and new job creation is occurring right here in Bay County, Florida.  Suzuki has a corporate commitment to our coastal environment and marine habitat, and we are proud to have companies like this select Bay County.”
